WALKING THE TRAIL
Children will love the varied terrain of this farm trail, by following the signs they can explore woodland, arable land and grasslands. Jumping across ditches, balancing across bridges and ridges, running down and up hills, under natural obstacles and over tree stumps, all whilst they take in the natural beauty of north wiltshires’ countryside. Walk the entire trail, or just take in the 2 or 4km trail. All trails are clearly signposted, and obstacles that require a little more attention are clearly marked. For those that require a little more adventure, take on the black routes, and for those just wishing for a more gentle stroll, there's always the option of an easier red or blue trail. Don't miss the spectacle of spring Bluebells and wild flowers that add a sea of blue to Turnham Wood. Bluebells in bloom Search for
wild deer, wild buzzards, kestrels, and herons, as a few. Picnic by the natural pond or amongst the woodland. Refreshments available. Suitable only for rough terrain pushchairs. |
